The day to day operations at 121 Care office are carried out by paid staff including a General Manager, Case Managers, an Accountant and a Bookkeeper.

General Manager

Kym Chomley

Kym joined the 121 Care team in July 2013. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of 121 Care.  This includes financial management, operational management, liaison with funding bodies and Government agencies, and overseeing service delivery to our valued clients.

Prior to working at 121 Care, Kym was a partner in a Sunshine Coast Accounting and Financial Planning firm and worked as a Business Coach and has a Bachelor of Business.  Originally from Brisbane, Kym has lived all over Australia. She now calls the Sunshine Coast home!

Client Services Manager

Jo Priestley

Jo has 25 years’ experience in the Community Service and Disability sectors. Her formal qualifications include a Certificate IV in Disability and a Diploma of Disability. Jo has worked as a teacher’s aide, therapy assistant, residential support worker, senior support worker, household coordinator and national business development manager.

Jo has spent the last three years working with clients, families and organisations preparing for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

HR & Administration Manager

Grace has over 13 years’ experience in Human Resources as well as extensive experience in administration. Grace commenced with 121 Care on 16 October.

Grace has a wealth of HR experience having worked with Myer HR for 13 years and extensive administration experience in trade, financial services and other industries.

Client Services Coordinator

Sheila Smith

Sheila brings with her a wealth of experience in the areas of Disability & Aged Care, working in various capacities from Support Worker to Administration and Management roles. Sheila’s formal qualifications include Diploma’s in Community Services, Business & Management.

Assistant Accountant

Ashu initially joined the 121 Care office team as an Admin Volunteer in October 2014 and went on to join us as Bookkeeper. Ashu has 8 years of experience working in administration and accounting positions in various government and private sectors in India. In Australia, she worked at Lions Emergency Accommodation Centre doing admin work and at Accountancy Services Pty Ltd as a Trainee Accountant.

Ashu has a Bachelor Degree in Management & Secretarial Practice from Delhi University and a Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of the Sunshine Coast. Ashu came to the Sunshine Coast in November 2006 to study, and decided to permanently migrate with her husband to Australia. She now has two young boys and likes spending time with her boys on the beach.

Team Leader

Sonya Kosmac

Sonya has been a Disability Support Worker for 17 years, taking up the profession in 2000 following a car accident in which her brother unfortunately died.  His workmate was left a quadriplegic from the accident, so Sonya became his carer.

After six years working with the Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of Queensland, Sonya started working with 121 Care as a support worker and completed her Cert IV in Disability.  With lived experience of disability, we are pleased to have Sonya on board as a team leader.

Since 2010, Sonya has also been a volunteer at her local cricket club.
