Residence Coordinator – Gympie, Queensland

Are you interested in supporting people with mental illness back into the community? You can make a difference in the Gympie region by coordinating quality supported accommodation services to people wanting to regain community involvement.  We are currently seeking applicants for the role of Residence Coordinator at our Gympie property.

  • Effective management of the residence ensuring the delivery of quality supported accommodation services to residents.
    • The day to day operation of the facility
    • Compliance to relevant standards/guidelines
    • Providing a safe environment for residents and staff

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and access to a private reliable motor vehicle.
  • Willingness to undertake employment checks including a Federal Police clearance and Working with Vulnerable People (Yellow) Card.
  • Evidence of the right to work in Australia.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • A thorough knowledge and previous training and experience in the delivery of support services to people with a disability and/or mental health issues.
  • A clear knowledge and understanding of the legislation and standards which are critical to the provision of support to people with a disability and people with mental health.
  • High level of communication, interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Flexibility, creativity, innovative and open minded.
  • Ability to network and develop strong relationships at both an individual level and business to business.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team as well as autonomously.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office based software packages.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends on call emergency response.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, access and equity for disadvantaged individuals.

Accountant – Maroochydore, Queensland

We are currently seeking applicants for the role of Accountant for 3 days per week.

The focus and purpose of this role is:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate financial reporting for the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, legislative and funding financial responsibilities.
  • Provision of timely and accurate client funding statements.
  • Preparation of annual financial reports.
  • Preparation for and compliance with financial and quality standard audits.
  • Development and monitoring of annual organisational budgets and cashflows.
  • Development and compliance with organisational financial policies and procedures.

Home Care Employees

We currently have no vacancies for Home Care Employees, however, 121 Care is often seeking workers to provide in-home support to clients with disability.

Mandatory requirements

  • 18 years or over
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Manual Handling (hoists)
  • Experience with personal hygiene (bowel therapy/catheter care)
  • Yellow card – National police check  (or willing to apply for a Yellow Card)
  • Flexible availability
  • Two work references
  • Good communication skills

Highly regarded

  • Assist with Medication certification
  • Current driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Able work autonomously
  • Able to assist in light housework tasks, meal preparation, community access
  • Strong work ethic and passion for caring
  • Certification in Individual / Disability Support
